Australia, officially the Commonwealth of Australia, is a sovereign country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands.  It is the largest country by area in Oceania and the world's sixth-largest country. Australia's population of nearly 26 million, in an area of 7,617,930 square kilometres (2,941,300 sq mi), is highly urbanised and heavily concentrated on the eastern seaboard. Canberra is the nation's capital, while the largest city is Sydney, and other major metropolitan areas include MelbourneBrisbanePerth, and Adelaide.

Burundi remains an overwhelmingly rural society, with just 13% of the population living in urban areas in 2013. The population density is around 315 people per square kilometer (753 per sq mi) is the second highest in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Roughly 85% of the population are of Hutu ethnic origin, 15% are Tutsi, and fewer than 1% are indigenous Twa (or Pygmies).   The official languages of Burundi are French and Kirundi, although Swahili can be found spoken along the Tanzanian border.
