The Best Flood is a Drought

July 22, 2017

When the Lord first spoke to me about building Bless Minstries he commanded me to follow him completely and not to be subject to people, other ministries, churches, nor anyone or anything, but Him. Then he gave me a promise that he would pour out an unending resource for me to distribute to the world through ministries. He made this covenant with me in December 1997 (19½ years ago). I truly thought He would start pouring out his BLESSING upon our ministry then.

What I have learned during all this time is God is faithful to us while He is working out His covenant in us. I have learned that His provision is more dependable than the things I would try to do for myself, and that if I would walk in faith, doing things the way He is instructing me, He has made provision for me and my family before I even asked for it. His provisions were never in means that I thought they should be. He always gives me provisions through things that looked to me as being impossible. He always used ways that were the most unlikely possibilities to bring my provisions.

I have noticed in all this time, My provision has always been in ways that provided for others also. While God was providing for me, He also was providing for other people He wanted me to minister to.

God did the same thing with Elijah when he had the prophet call for a drought so God's glory could be poured out. [1Kings 17:1-7]

God gets your attention and shares something to you either by preaching, reading, or someone speaking into your life. . . If you will accept what was shared you grow there by. You keep doing this and you grow in knowledge and power in the Lord.

God always does things completely different than you would think.

He works through the most impossible ways to get things done;

The most irrational means for meeting your needs.

Elijah needed provision so God sends Him out to a wilderness.

Then God sends him to a widow that had nothing.

Widows are not looked at as being a person of resource, they are always in need them self.

This is why she was going to fix the one loaf of bread, eat it and die, yet God sent Elijah to her for his provision. He was not only provided for to eat that one time, but her supply never ended.

  1. God used a rock to give the children of Israel water. [Exodus 17:1-7; Number 20:8]

  2. He uses a person that was hiding in fear (Gideon) and an untrained army of 300 to conquer an experienced army of thousands; and they did not have any weapons. [Judges Chapters 6 and 7]

  3. God uses unlearned and uneducated people to preach his words to the learned and educated (the Apostles). [Acts 4:13]

  4. He brings food by birds when the king's table is spread for a banquet. [1Kings 17:4]

  5. He uses a blind man to show them how to see;

  6. He uses a lame man to teach them how to walk;

  7. He uses children to feed the crowds;

  8. He uses love and spiritual power to conquer lands and people instead of power through fear and armies.

  9. He invites you to him instead of demanding you to come. [Matthew 11:28-30; Revelation 22:17]

He has Already made Preparation for You

When you need God to show up so badly you feel you are at the end,

God has already made preparation for you to do more.

Elijah was running for his life because Jezebel wanted him dead and the widow thought her time was up; but God had already commanded something more for both of them.

"Arise, go to Zarephath, which [belongs] to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you." [1 Kings 17:9 NKJV]

Commanded here in the Hebrew is tsavah (tsä·vä'), which means to take charge of, or appointed.

When we think there are no options, God has already appointed, commanded for our need, we just have to trust how God has worked it all out for our good.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:30).

Why are you worrying about what you need?

Is God not capable of doing what He has already done?

If you are seeking God; if you are hearing from God; or you are in need and you are cry out to God. . .Will He not hear you? . . .Will He not help you in your time of need?

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need". [Hebrews 4:16]

"Ask, and it shall be given you. . .Seek and you shall find. . .knock and it will be opened unto you". [Matthew 7:7]

He already commanded for Elijah's provision through the widow (1Kngs 17:9).

He already appointed the raven's to bring Elijah food (1Kngs 17:4).

Teams of ravens have been known to hunt down game too large for a single bird. They also prey on eggs and nestlings of other birds, such as coastal seabirds, as well as rodents, grains, worms, and insects. Ravens do dine on carrion (dead fish) and sometimes on human garbage.

The point is ravens eat flesh and most likely brought him some fish to eat.

When the enemy is looking for ways to destroy the heritage of God, the Lord has already made provisions to preserve it.

Rejoice that God has made provisions for you already!

Especially if you are part of the heritage of God, if you have received Jesus as your Savior!

When you have been waiting upon the Lord and it seems like the wait will never end, trust in what you know, not what you fear. You know God is faithful to His promise and His Word.

Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You [are] the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day. . . Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, For I wait for You. [Psalm 25:5, 21 NKJV]

Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! [Psalm 27:14 NKJV]

You are in need for the Lord to provide for you, your family, your ministry, and the many people and children you have been given responsibility over. In your cry to the Lord he sent to you Bless Ministries Mobile USA for your answers. As you learn more about our ministry you find that the one thing we do not have right now is money to send you, which is the very thing you have need of. Why would God connect you with a ministry that does not have any money and money is the one things that is going to make a difference for you? Surely there are ministries that have money and can help us right now? Just like Elijah, God sent you to a widow who is unable to supply you with money, but the Holy Spirit is testifying to you that Bless Ministries Mobile USA is going to supply you with all you have need of.

This is why I have done everything the way God wants. We are doing His will and we are carrying out everything according to his command. Just as Elijah and the widow were taken care of during a very dry season, God is taking care of us even now. His faithfulness will always provide for us according to His command.

Let this study sink deep into your soul as you allow the provisions of God to ensure you are safe. Then when the Lord pours out the new rain (His BLESSING) as he did in Elijah's day, then you will be completely satisfied as you carry out the will of the Lord. He will continue to make provisions for you, your family, your ministry, and all those you have been given responsibility for.

God bless you above all you can think or understand.
