Blessings in Heavenly Places

Eph 1:19-20 What is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us, to the working of his power of which we believe, which was done when God raised His from the dead.

This power is from him who is seated at the right hand of God in the heavenly places. He is above principality, powers, might, now and is to come.

Eph 3:20 . . .according to the power which works in us.

This is why we can say, “I am all things for Him who energizes me.” Philippians 4:13

Eph 4:10 He ascended far above all heavens that he might fill all things. And he gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, to equip the saints to do the work and edify the Body of Christ.

Eph 3:10 We (the church) are to make known the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers in heavenly places. Note: You can only make known what you know.

2Cor 10:3-6 Our Weapons are for:

Pulling down strongholds

Casting down arguments

Casting down ever high thing against knowledge

Bringing every thought into captivity and obedience to Christ

Punishing disobedience

The Question: How to bring Blessing in heavenly places to the earth?

Is this something we should do or is it something only God does?

Eph 3:16-20 God has granted us according to his riches in Christ Jesus:

  1. To be strengthened with might through his spirit.

  2. That Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith.

  3. That we be rooted and grounded in love.

  4. To be able to comprehend the length, depth, height (dimensions of God).

  5. To know the love of Christ

  6. To be filled with the fullness of God

  7. That God’s power works in us.

There would be no reason for all these things if he did not want us to have all blessings.

He has blessed us with all spiritual blessings and he wants us to have them, Ephesians 1:3.

He wants us to have the fullness of Himself, Ephesians 1:9-10.

He gave us abilities in Him and through His Spirit, Ephesians 3:16.

We are to use what he gave us!! He gave it to use, to use NOW! Not wait until we get to heaven.

These things are to work in us now!

When Israel was at Kadesh Barnea, God wanted them to take the land then, not wait 40 years.

Not wait til your life is over. DO IT NOW!

The Blessings that are in heavenly places are in the Spirit realm.

For us to use these blessings they must be brought from the heavenly places to the earth, which is the material realm also called natural realm.

Some Spirit things available for our use are the gifts of the spirit, the fruit of the spirit, and the armor of God.

We cause the spiritual fruits to manifest in the natural by doing them: Galatians 5:22

By doing love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.

We cause the spiritual gifts to manifest in the natural by doing them: 1Cor 12:7-11

Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discerning spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues.

While you are doing (James 1:22) these things they manifest themselves and are no longer just spiritual, but they become things you can see and feel, which is materializing in the natural realm, they are becoming part of our world.

The same is true with the Armor of God, Ephesians 6:14-18:

Truth, righteousness, gospel, faith, salvation, word of God, praying in the spirit (tongues).

We use spiritual things in the natural by the power we have through the Holy Spirit.

We have the Holy Spirit through being baptized (filled) in the Holy Spirit.

  1. When we love, love becomes part of our natural life. It becomes a physical thing.

  2. When we accept truth, truth becomes part of us and we (natural) start being truthful.

  3. When a word of wisdom is given to us and we receive it in faith, that word becomes part of us, and we physically live by that word.

  4. When you or someone else prays over a physical illness in the name of Jesus, the illness leaves.

This is a physical manifestation of faith resulting in a physical manifestation of healing. It is no longer just spiritual, it is now physical in a natural world.

All these things started as Spiritual Blessings in heavenly places!!!!

After Jesus died on the cross, he went into the depths of the earth and became victorious over death and ascended on high, Eph. 4:8-10.

When he ascended on high he went into the Holy of Hollies, with his blood and made atonement for sin, Hebrews 9:11-15. This provided that we are acceptable in the Lord, just as Jesus is.

This allowed him to give us access in heavenly places, all spiritual blessings of which we have access to by faith. We know we do because we are able to use the fruit of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, and the Armor of God, because of what Jesus did.

So, if in doing (James 1:22), we have accessed some of the blessings in heavenly places, we should be able to access all blessings in heavenly places by this same faith.

But how do we do it? How do we bring manifestation of all other blessings like we do the fruit of the spirit, the gifts of the spirit, and the armor of God?

Revelation comes to us and by faith. We accept it and grow in knowledge and wisdom in Christ, 1Thessalonians 2:13.

Then God presents us with more revelation and as long as we keep receiving it in faith and allowing his revelation to work in us, God keeps giving us more. If we were to stop receiving it in faith and not allow the revelation to work in us, revelation would then stop, Galatians 1:6; 3:1; 5:7, until we start receiving it again.

Revelation concerning heavenly places should be received in faith the same way, and we should be acting on it in the same way, to grow thereby. . .

Understand we do have the ability to be in heavenly places. It was given to us by Jesus, Eph. 2:6:

“. . and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Do we have any examples of someone being in the heavenly places while still alive on earth?

Yes we do!

John the Apostle. .Revelation 1:10; 4:2; 17:3; 21:10.

Paul the Apostle. . 2Corinthians 12:1-4

Ezekiel the Prophet. . Ezk 8:3

Jacob...Gen 28:10-22…

When Jesus was about to ascend to the Father and take his rightful place at God’s right hand, he told the disciples, “All power (authority) has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore. . .” That “Go therefore” was Jesus giving us the power and authority to DO!!!

God speaks to us through the written Word (Bible), the preached word, words of wisdom, knowledge, and prophecy, and the Holy Spirit. He gives us revelation concerning all he wants us to do. He gives blessings to bring us into the fullness of himself. He has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, 2Pet 1:3.

This leaves it up to us. We are the ones that have to do something because God has already given us all spiritual blessings in heavenly places (Eph 1:3).

It is up to us to receive blessing in heavenly places just as we received salvation, baptism of his spirit, the gifts of the spirit, and all that makes us who we are in Jesus.

To receive something you must take it.

So what are we going to do with “all spiritual blessings in heavenly places”?

When Jesus took the five loaves and two fish in Matthew 14:13-21 and fed five thousand, the Bible says that Jesus took them and, “looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke and gave. . .” verse 19.

It was at that moment Jesus, in his spirit, went into the heavenly places and took blessings in the heavenly places, of which he blessed the loaves and fish to be multiplied.

When the disciples needed to pay temple taxes in Matthew 17:24-27, Jesus told Peter to cast a hook in the water, catch a fish, and in the fish’s mouth was the money to pay the tax. Jesus reached into the “blessings in heavenly places” and blessed the disciples with finances to pay their taxes.

When there was a need for more wine at the wedding in John 2:1-11, Jesus manifested (verse 11) his glory by receiving blessings from the heavenly places and turned water into wine.

All that Jesus did (Matthew 11:5-6) was accomplished because Jesus understood he could go into the heavenly places in his spirit and bring the blessing to the people.

Jesus commanded us to do these same things in Mark 16:15-18.

He said in John 14:12, “ he who believes in me, the works that I do he will also: and greater works than these he will do also…”

He said nothing is impossible for us to do. . Matthew 17:20.

This verse has become a spiritual metaphor and it is not!!!. If we can move a mountain, we can go into the heavenly places and bring back blessings for mankind. Nothing is impossible!!!!!

Some people doing these things and they work, then others do them and they do not work? The difference is the faith each person has to see it through. Another difference is the ability to “sit together in heavenly places with Christ,” Eph. 2:6.

Heavenly Places is a spiritual place, you must go there in the spirit. When Jesus prayed over the loaves and fish in Matthew 14:13-21, he “lifted his head and looked into heaven”. It was in that moment his spirit reached into the heavenly places.

Being in the spirit is something people have not been taught to do.

This is not your grandma's idea of faith in Christ.

Being there, “seated with Christ in Heavenly places,” (Eph 2:6) comes with understanding and acceptance. We come into revelation and understanding that we are seated with Christ, and we accept the truth that we are seated with him, instead of rejecting them.

  1. Jesus made it possible that we are seated with him.

  2. We are seated now and have been since Jesus made it possible.

  3. We can use this as part of our spiritual ability and authority.

  4. Being seated is being there in heavenly places.

  5. We have the right to be there when we are in Jesus.

  6. Being able to reach into the “heavenly places” depends upon your faith to accept that you can go there. Then actually go there in the spirit. Isaiah 57:15 states God dwells in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit.

Peter was there when he had a vision of the different kinds of animals, Acts 10:9-16.

Steven was there when when he gazed into heaven and saw Jesus standing, Acts 7:54-56.

Ananias was there when he had a vision and the Lord told him to go meet Saul, Acts 9:10-19.

Paul was there when he went into the higher heavens, 2Corinthians 12:1-4.

John was there on the Lord’s day while in exiled on Patmos, Revelation 1:10.

Understand they were all “filled with the Holy Spirit” when these things took place. “Steven being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven. . .” Acts 7:55.

So it leaves everything up to us. What will we do? We must do like Jesus did and bring Blessings in Heavenly places into our world! Jesus left it to us!
